Casino - Exploration (June, 2010)
Based on the preliminary results from the 2010 exploration program, Western Copper extends higher grade supergene mineralization at Casino.
Casino - Exploration (March, 2010)
Western Copper commences a 15,000 meter diamond drilling program at Casino. The 2010 exploration program complements and continues last year’s drilling program. The aim of the program is to expand the resource by converting in-pit waste to ore and to provide data to improve the geological model of the deposit.
Casino - Exploration (December, 2009)
Western Copper closes C$5.4 million flow-through financing. The gross proceeds will be used for exploration activities, primarily at the Company’s world class Casino gold-copper-molybdenum project located in the Yukon.
Casino - Award (November, 2009)
Western Copper receives Robert E. Leckie award for the major reclamation program carried out on old abandoned workings at its Casino Project.
Casino - Exploration (October, 2009)
Western Copper completes 2009 exploration program at Casino. Including the 11,000 metres drilled in 2009, approximately 102,000 metres have been drilled on the property to date.
Casino - Exploration (September, 2009)
Western Copper completes Quantec Titan 24 deep penetration geophysical survey and identifies several zones of potential mineralization outside of the historical mineralization limits.
Casino - Exploration (July, 2009)
Western Copper commences a 10,000 m drillling program which is initially aimed at converting inferred resources into measured and indicated, but will later focus on confirming the targets identified by the geophysical survey to extend the known area of mineralization.

Western Copper commences a 1,500 m deep penetrating geophysical survey (Quantec's Titan 24) in the middle of July 2009. The survey aims to better delineate the resource, to discover new potential mineralized zones, and to identify drill targets.

Western Copper updates the power study prepared in 2008 for the pre-feasibility study.
Casino - Permitting (March, 2009)
Western Copper continues collecting environmental data that will help form part of the Project Proposal to YESAB. Western Copper has also had a number of preliminary meetings with various government departments and initial meetings with First Nations Governments to introduce them to the project.

Western Copper drills two holes in order to obtain fresh rock samples fro geochemical and metallurgical testing.
Casino - Permitting (October, 2008)
Western Copper obtains the Class 4 Land Use Permit from the Yukon Government Energy, Mines, and Resources department.
Casino - Exploration (September, 2008)
Western Copper mobilizes personnel, fuel, equipment, and supplies to the property. Initial work involves cleaning up and restoring the camp site. The existing camp had not been used since the 1990's and was in need of refurbishment. The permanent camp that has now been established will support all on-going activity at the property.
Casino - Permitting (June, 2008)
Western Copper begins preparing for the submission of a Project Proposal to the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB). Western Copper initiates a baseline environmental and socio-economic data collection program to update and to complete environmental information collected in the early 1900's.
Casino - Pre-Feasibility Study (June, 2008)
M3 Engineering of Tucson, Arizona, completed the Pre-feasibility study on Casino. The report projects 30 year mine life with 20.4% pre-tax IRR, $7.5 billion undiscounted NPV and 3.8 year payback period.

Casino - Permitting (October, 2007)
The Company retained Gartner Lee to lead the collection of information to prepare for the environmental and socio-economic assessment required under YESAA.
Casino - Ownership (August, 2007)
Western Copper acquired 100% interest in the property in exchange for a $1 million cash payment to Great Basin Gold Ltd.
Casino - Pre-Feasibility Study (July, 2007)
Western Copper engaged M3 to commence work on a pre-feasibility study. Western Copper anticipates the pre-feasibility study will be completed by the end of Q2 2008 and it will cost approximately $1 million.

188 additional claims were staked by the Company to provide a buffer area around the core claims in anticipation of future development and to cover prospective ground adjacent to the porphyry.
