Carmacks - Permitting (December, 2007)
The Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) issued the draft Screening Report and Recommendation on December 17, 2007. The YESAB recommends that the Carmacks Copper Project proceeds, subject to the terms and conditions of the mitigative factors outlined in the report. The draft report is open for public comment until February 6, 2008.
Carmacks - Resource Update (November, 2007)
An update to the No. 1 Zone mineral resource estimated in the spring 2007 (Feasibility Study, April 2007) was prepared by Wardrop Engineering Inc. of Vancouver, British Columbia. The Technical Report incorporates all the previous data with the data collected from the 2007 drilling campaign. It includes geological and assay results from an additional 64 diamond drill holes in 9,900 m drilled during the 2007 campaign in the No.1, 4 and 7 Zones. This new resource has the potential to increase the mine life of the Carmacks Copper Project.

Carmacks - Power (October, 2007)
The Yukon Energy Corporation has commenced construction of an extension of the power grid from Carmacks to Stewart Crossing. The power line would be located approximately 10 km east of the property along the Klondike Highway. Western Copper has had preliminary discussions with Yukon Energy concerning a spur line from the extension to feed the Carmacks Property.
Carmacks - Exploration (October, 2007)
The 2007 drilling program commenced in March and was completed in mid-October. It included 17,000 of diamond drilling in 123 holes. The program further defined zones of mineralization at the No. 1, No. 7 and No. 7A zones, delineated mineralization at the No. 4, No. 12 and No. 13 zones and identified copper-molybdenum mineralization in a new zone, the No. 14 Zone.

An updated Feasibility Study was compiled by M3 Engineering & Technology Corporation of Tucson, Arizona with resource estimation by Wardrop Engineering of Vancouver and reserve estimation and mine costing by Independent Mining Consultants of Tucson.
