The public hearing will take place in Whitehorse.

Redstone - Research Project (September, 2009)

Western Copper completes initial field portion of exploration program and additional field work will be undertaken during 2010 and 2011. The 2009 field season was successful in identifying new tools to aid in both the development of existing copper deposits and to help identify areas of exploration potential in the region. A 3D modelling program of the regional geology and many other scientific studies are continuing with our research partners.

Western Copper completes Quantec Titan 24 deep penetration geophysical survey and identifies several zones of potential mineralization outside of the historical mineralization limits.

Western Copper commences a 10,000 m drillling program which is initially aimed at converting inferred resources into measured and indicated, but will later focus on confirming the targets identified by the geophysical survey to extend the known area of mineralization.

Western Copper commences a 1,500 m deep penetrating geophysical survey (Quantec's Titan 24) in the middle of July 2009. The survey aims to better delineate the resource, to discover new potential mineralized zones, and to identify drill targets.

Redstone - Research Project (June, 2009)

Western Copper commences the geological modeling program. The project entails field based studies and mapping of known deposits supported by the examination of historical drill core and data.The Mineral Deposits Research Unit of UBC mobilized to Yellowknife and to the property to begin field work.

Western Copper updates the power study prepared in 2008 for the pre-feasibility study.

Redstone - Research Project (May, 2009)

A research project is being undertaken in partnership with the University of British Columbia, the University of Alberta and the Northwest Territories Geoscience Office in order to more fully understand the nature of mineralization throughout the Redstone Project area. Understanding and characterising mineralization in the area is critical in building geological models which are used in exploration for new copper deposits. The improved understanding of the geology of the area will lead to more efficient and effective exploration – a valuable asset when working in the remote Mackenzie Mountains.

As of March 31, 2009, IMA had met the C$ 1.9 million spending requirement for the first year of the option agreement.

Western Copper continues collecting environmental data that will help form part of the Project Proposal to YESAB. Western Copper has also had a number of preliminary meetings with various government departments and initial meetings with First Nations Governments to introduce them to the project.

Between October and December 2008 IMA Exploration completed 13 HQ size diamond drill holes totaling 5,123 metres in two target areas, consisting of eleven step‐out exploration holes at the NW Expo goldmolybdenum‐rhenium‐(copper) target and two infill holes at the Hushamu copper‐gold deposit.

Casino - Exploration (September, 2008)

Western Copper mobilizes personnel, fuel, equipment, and supplies to the property. Initial work involves cleaning up and restoring the camp site. The existing camp had not been used since the 1990's and was in need of refurbishment. The permanent camp that has now been established will support all on-going activity at the property.

IMA Exploration Inc. and Western Copper Corporation signed the final Option Agreement for the Hushamu property.

Western Copper initiates a baseline environmental and socio-economic data collection program to update and to complete environmental information collected in the early 1900's.

M3 Engineering of Tucson, Arizona, completed the Pre-feasibility study on Casino. The report projects 30 year mine life with 20.4% pre-tax IRR, $7.5 billion undiscounted NPV and 3.8 year payback period.

On January 31, 2008, Western Copper made the final payment required under its option agreement with Electra Gold Ltd. As a result, the Company acquired 100% interest in the Apple Bay mineral claims previously held by Electra.

Sierra Almoloya - Joint Venture for Exploration (January, 2008)

Since Mexico is no longer the focus of Western Copper’s exploration activity, the company is currently seeking a joint venture partner for this property.

Carmacks - Permitting (December, 2007)

The Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB) issued the draft Screening Report and Recommendation on December 17, 2007. The YESAB recommends that the Carmacks Copper Project proceeds, subject to the terms and conditions of the mitigative factors outlined in the report. The draft report is open for public comment until February 6, 2008.

Carmacks - Resource Update (November, 2007)

An update to the No. 1 Zone mineral resource estimated in the spring 2007 (Feasibility Study, April 2007) was prepared by Wardrop Engineering Inc. of Vancouver, British Columbia. The Technical Report incorporates all the previous data with the data collected from the 2007 drilling campaign. It includes geological and assay results from an additional 64 diamond drill holes in 9,900 m drilled during the 2007 campaign in the No.1, 4 and 7 Zones. This new resource has the potential to increase the mine life of the Carmacks Copper Project.

Carmacks - Power (October, 2007)

The Yukon Energy Corporation has commenced construction of an extension of the power grid from Carmacks to Stewart Crossing. The power line would be located approximately 10 km east of the property along the Klondike Highway. Western Copper has had preliminary discussions with Yukon Energy concerning a spur line from the extension to feed the Carmacks Property.

The Company retained Gartner Lee to lead the collection of information to prepare for the environmental and socio-economic assessment required under YESAA.

Carmacks - Exploration (October, 2007)

The 2007 drilling program commenced in March and was completed in mid-October. It included 17,000 of diamond drilling in 123 holes. The program further defined zones of mineralization at the No. 1, No. 7 and No. 7A zones, delineated mineralization at the No. 4, No. 12 and No. 13 zones and identified copper-molybdenum mineralization in a new zone, the No. 14 Zone.

Western copper Corporation signed an agreement with the Mineral Deposits Research Unit at the University of British Columbia (“UBC”) to fund a research project that will aim to provide a better understanding of the regional geology and to identify areas covered by the Company’s existing claims that offer the most exploration potential.
