Yukon First Nations Sponsorship (February, 2010)
Western Copper is a sponsor of the Yukon First Nations (YFN) 2010. YFN 2010 is a project to develop and celebrate over 70 Yukon First Nations performing and visual artists, youth, elders and businesses at the 2010 Olympics.

Yukon Quest Sponsorship (February, 2010)
Western Copper is a Lead Dog sponsor for the Yukon Quest. The Yukon Quest is an annual international dog sled race that goes 1000 miles between Fairbanks, Alaska and Whitehorse, Yukon. The race follows old historic gold rush trails and historic dog sled mail delivery routes and it takes two weeks to complete.
Pelly Crossing Meeting (October, 2008)
Western Copper meets with Selkirk First Nation Chief and Council in Pelly Crossing to provide an update on the Company’s Yukon projects: Casino and Carmacks Copper. The meeting is followed by an informal Posters and Information Open House for the community.

Carmacks Copper Project Site Visit (September, 2008)
Western Copper hosts a site visit of the Carmacks Copper project for the representatives of various governments agencies in preparation of the Company’s applications for the Quartz Mining License and Water Use License.

Western Copper hosts a community “Project Update Meeting” from 5pm to 7pm at the Carmacks’ Recreation Center.

Meeting with Carmacks’ Village Council (September, 2008)
Western Copper meets with Carmacks’ Village Council at a regular Council Meeting on September 2, and provide an update on the Camacks Copper Project.
Opening of the Carmacks Copper Project Office (September, 2008)
Western Copper Corporation opens the “Carmacks Copper Project Office”. The office is located in the Village of Carmacks Post Office Building owned and managed by Little Salmon Carmacks Development Corporation.
Carmacks Copper Project Permitting (July, 2008)
The Carmacks Copper project receives a positive recommendation from YESAB (Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board). The YESAB Executive Committee issue the Screening Report and Recommendation on the Carmacks Copper Project.
Claire Derome new VP Government & Community Relations (July, 2008)
Western Copper appoints Claire Derome as Vice-President Government & Community Relations. She will be based in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.

Carmacks Copper Project Media Tour (June, 2008)
Three journalists from North of 60 Mining News, The Northern Miner and Resource World visit the Carmacks Copper Project on June 27, 2008. The site visit is part of the Yukon Media Tour organized by the Yukon Government
